So, for the last year, I’ve been struggling more with my weight than I would like. It seems like decades ago that I won our departmental weight loss challenge- in actuality it was 5 years ago. I’ve done a good job for the most part, but I’ve gained more fat than muscle over the last few years. Needless to say, I want to see it gone.
There has been a little buzz as to whether we would do another weight loss and fitness challenge. Well, the buzz is true- we are bringing back the RPS Fitness Challenge to the professional staff in our division.
The Challenge will run Wednesday, February 6 through May 29. The challenge will be comprised of two parts, a fitness challenge and a weight loss challenge. The Fitness competition is for those who aren’t interested in a lot of weight loss, but instead want to tone up their muscles or learn ways to eat healthier. The Weight Loss competition is designed for those who do what to lose weight. It can be 5lb or 35lbs.
Look for updates, pictures of progress and individual spotlights throughout the 16 week competition. In the spirit of Student Affairs verbiage, feel free to challenge and support. However, please be mindful before you post your comments as you and I know that being or becoming FIT is very personal and is sometimes difficult and grueling process.
